The most important facts about Carlo Ubbiali

Carlo Ubbiali was born on September 22nd, 1929 in Bergamo in northern Italy. The Italian was one of the most successful motorcycle racers of the post-war period and at the age of 9 won as many world titles as Valentino Rossi and Mike Hailwood.

Ubbiali died at the old age of 90 in his hometown Bergamo of the consequences of a domestic accident on June 2, 2020. He was the last surviving driver of the first World Championship season in 1949 and went down in history as one of the best GP drivers in the world on.
