Simon Jespersen (Kallio Racing Yamaha) from Denmark has been the surprise of the Navarra weekend so far – he will start the race together with Öttl from row three.

Aegerter on pole position with Gonzalez and Odendaal in row 1

At halftime, Aegerter was ahead of Cluzel, Gonzalez, Öttl and Odendaal. With 1: 40.535 the Swiss had set a time that was 0.123 seconds better than the French. While Manuel Conzalez and Steven Odendaal were able to follow suit, the world championship leader improved his best time by more than half a second. Jules Cluzel remained in fourth place in the end, which means that he will start the race in the second row together with Luca Bernardi and Federico Caricasulo. This time, Philipp Öttl has to make do with the third row, which he will share with the strong Dane Simon Jespersen and local hero Borja Gomez. Behind them with Tuuli, Krummenacher and De Rosa on the only MV Agusta, three drivers who were expected further ahead.

Jules Cluzel in the GMT94 Yamaha box, in which his national language is spoken – the fast Frenchman had a lot of bad luck at the start of the season, as so often in the past. It is currently at P6 in the interim World Cup accounting. In Most he had innocently crashed for the second time this season when Kevin Manfredi had cleared him.
